How to Dispose of Waste Correctly
Dispose of waste on the days indicated in the calendar by 6 AM or, alternatively, the evening before after 8 PM. Place the waste inside the container/bag and display it near your house number only on the days specified in the calendar.
Containers must be removed from the street by 2 PM. Waste displayed incorrectly or on an incorrect collection day will not be collected and will have a non-compliance sticker applied to it.

ORGANIC WASTE (Wet)
Dispose of inside a container, in a biodegradable and compostable bag.
- YES: Food scraps, fruit and vegetable waste, coffee grounds, tea and chamomile bags, used paper napkins and tissues, pet droppings and litter (if biodegradable), small quantities of plant residues and cut flowers, cold fireplace ash.
- NO: Diapers, sanitary pads, toilet paper, even wet rags, pizza boxes, wrappers with food residues, farm animal droppings, synthetic sand pet litter.
UNSORTED DRY WASTE
- YES: Wrappers with food residues, rubber, CDs/DVDs, plastic cutlery, pens, small plastic objects, carbon paper, laminated paper, nylon stockings, rags, gauze, plasters, syringes, diapers, sanitary pads, used toilet paper, cosmetics, synthetic litter, ceramic shards, broken mirrors, dust, cigarette butts.
- NO: Anything recyclable, construction waste, hazardous waste (T/F), batteries, tires, oils, toner.
PLASTIC
- YES: Plastic water, juice, milk bottles. Yogurt, cream cheese, and dessert containers, pet food containers. Detergent containers and hygiene bottles. Bags, sachets, and food containers, cellophane, croissants, chips, frozen foods, pasta, rice, meat, and fish. Egg trays, polystyrene trays and packaging. Fruit and vegetable nets. Fruit and vegetable crates (maximum 1 piece per collection day per household). Clean tanks and drums, plastic plates and cups, hangers, polystyrene trays, and small packaging.
- NO: Toys, music cassettes, CDs and video cassettes, plastic cutlery, food containers, hair and personal hygiene accessories (e.g., toothbrushes, hairbrushes and combs, tweezers, clips, etc.), waste bins, car components and accessories, PVC irrigation pipes, containers or drums containing residues of any kind (e.g., glues, solvents, paints, resins, etc.) and any plexiglass and polyethylene components, all multi-material packaging from which separation is impossible.
PAPER / CARDBOARD
- YES: Newspapers, magazines, advertising flyers, cardboard boxes, food boxes (e.g., rice, pasta, sugar, etc.), pizza boxes, used photocopy paper, books and notebooks, Tetrapak containers (e.g., milk bricks, fruit juices, tomato paste, etc.).
- NO: Nylon, cellophane, waxed paper, used toilet paper, sanitary pads, carbon paper, parchment, dirty paper, used paper napkins, laminated paper and cardboard, cement bags, all multi-material packaging (excluding Tetrapak) from which separation is impossible. It is absolutely forbidden to dispose of paper inside non-paper bags.
GLASS
- YES: Bottles, demijohns, carboys, vases, glasses, and glass jars.
- NO: Ceramic and porcelain objects, light bulbs, neon lights, mirrors, wired glass, opal glass (e.g., perfume bottles), TV or computer screens, Pyrex (like oven dishes), door and window glass.
ALUMINIUM
- YES: Beverage cans, food trays, foil (e.g., yogurt lids), food cans (tuna, meat, fish, legumes, peeled tomatoes), dessert trays, aluminum baking pans (frozen and various foods), tubes (tomato paste, mayonnaise, anchovy paste), cosmetic tubes, aluminum caps and capsules, aerosol cans of cream, deodorants, hairsprays, shaving foam.
- NO: Iron, paint spray cans. It is strictly forbidden to dispose of glass-aluminum in bags.
N.B. Glass and aluminum are collected together on the "ORGANIC WASTE GLASS ZONE A/B" days unless otherwise specified. Check the calendar.
Special and Bulky Waste
BULKY WASTE
Dispose of a maximum of 5 pieces at a time.
- YES: Washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, televisions, computers, printers, VCRs, electric ovens, Hi-Fi systems, bed frames and mattresses, armchairs and sofas, old furniture, small appliances (telephones, cell phones, blenders, toasters, coffee makers, toys), pellets, wood materials in general.
- NO: Rubble, cement bags, toxic drums, cans containing residues of any kind (e.g., glues, solvents, paints, resins, etc.), industrial and agricultural waste, agricultural containers with pesticides, fertilizers, and manures, PVC irrigation pipes, tires, inner tubes, batteries and car filters, engine oil and lubricants in general and any other parts of cars and motorcycles, paper and cardboard, fixtures and doors, sanitary ware, bathtubs, radiators, plumbing pipes, faucets, electrical system materials, boilers, gates, railings, toner.
WEEE / BATTERIES / MEDICINES
- T/F (Toxic/Flammable): Waste labeled T/F (T=toxic, F=flammable). Toxic/harmful products are all those that are legally required to bear specific symbology.
- BATTERIES: Zinc-carbon, alkaline-manganese, lithium batteries.
- MEDICINES: Separate boxes and instructions, which should be disposed of in the paper container.
Dispose of hazardous waste (batteries, medicines, T/F labeled items) exclusively in the designated containers located near pharmacies and commercial establishments.
DIAPERS, CLOTHS, AND UNDERPADS
Diapers, cloths, and underpads belong to the unsorted dry waste category. This waste will be collected, in addition to the day dedicated to unsorted dry waste disposal, on supplementary days. To use this service, a request to your municipality is required.

Yes, bulky waste and WEEE (appliances) must be disposed of at the Municipal Eco-center or by booking home collection.
Incorrect disposal can compromise the recycling process. The container may not be collected and will be marked with a non-compliance sticker.
